The Longevity Clinic
Where beauty meets balance
Our Story
Alicen is the doctor.
Rebecca is the artist.
Together... we somehow became something entirely different.
For years, we've spent countless hours talking, listening, observing, questioning, and occasionally putting the world to rights over a cup of tea. We kept coming back to the same question:
If we created this ourselves, what would we do differently?
Our story actually began through our children, who became best friends on their very first day of school. That date quietly became our own anniversary too. Since then, we've shared life's highs and lows, navigated divorces, illness, career changes, transatlantic professions, family chaos, laughter, tears, and everything in between.
Through it all, we've always arrived at the same conclusion:
There is very little in this world that doesn't need a little more kindness.
Beauty and the Balance was born from that belief.
We never wanted to create somewhere that felt cold, clinical, intimidating, or driven by sales targets. We wanted to create a space where people could simply exhale. A place where honesty matters more than pressure, where connection matters more than perfection, and where every person who walks through the door feels seen, heard, and valued.
Between us, we bring together medicine, science, aesthetics, creativity, storytelling, and a genuine fascination with people. But more importantly, we bring friendship, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin.
As parents navigating the wonderful chaos of teenagers, GCSEs, and busy lives, we realised there would never be a perfect moment to start building something of our own.
So we stopped waiting.
This website is just the beginning. A home for ideas, conversations, treatments, projects, and the community we hope will grow around them. Before long, we'll also be launching our podcast, where we'll be talking openly about beauty, health, ageing, confidence, friendship, wellbeing, and all the messy, wonderful bits in between.
Most of all, we hope to get to know you.
Not because we want clients.
Because we want to build a community. A place where people support one another, learn from one another, and feel welcome exactly as they are.
Our door is always open.
We only ask two things:
Drink Yorkshire Tea.
And be prepared to laugh.
Preferably with us.
